Key Ingredients:

Phenytoin- Stabilizes neuronal membrane and decreases seizures activity by increasing efflux or decreasing influx of sodium ions across cell membranes in the motor cortex during generation of nerve impulses; prolong effective refractory period and suppresses venticular pace maker automatically, shortens action potential in the heart.

Formulation Strength:

Pediatric Oral:

• Managment of generalized tonic-clonic (grandmal)/focal seizures
• Complex partial seizures; prevention and treatment of seizures following severe head trauma/neurosurgery
• Partial seizures ; ventricular arrhythmias, associated with digitalis intoxication, prolong Qt intervals & surgical repair of congenital heart diseases.

Oral : suspension shake well to use. Absorption is impared when phenytoin is given concurrently to patient who are receiving continous nasogastric feeding. Avoid interaction by divide daily dose the daily and with hold administration of nutritional supplement for 1-2 hours before and after each phenytoin dose.
