Formulation Strength:

Prednisolone Suspension 0.5MG/ML

Pediatric Oral:

• Severe croup/mild croup
• Mild to moderate acute asthma
• Severe or life threatening acute asthma
• Autoimmune inflammatory disorders( including juvenile idiopathic arthritis, connective tissue disorders and systemic lupus erythematous)
• Autoimmune hepatitis
• Corticosteroid replacement therapy
• Infantile spasms
• Infantile spasms (dose reduction in patient taking 40 mg daily
• Idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura
• Nephrotic syndrome/prevention of relapse
• Ulcerative colitis/crohn's disease
• Pneumocystis pneumonia in moderate to severe infections associated with HIV infection

Oral formulaion should be taken after meals or with food or milk to decrease GI effects; increase dietary intake of pyridoxine, vitamin C, vitamin D, folate, calcium,and phosphate.
