Antidote, Copper Toxicity, lead toxicity, Chelating Agent.

Key Ingredients:

Penicillamine - Chelates with lead, copper, mercury and other heavy metals to form stable, soluble complexes that are excreted in urine; depresses circulating IgM rheumatoid factor, depresses T-cell but not B-cell activity; combines with cystine to form acompound which is more soluble , thus cystine calculi are prevented.

Formulation Strength:

Penicillamine Suspension 50mg/ml

PEDIATRIC ORAL

• Diagnosis Treatment of wilson disease
• Treatment of cystinuria
• Diagnosis & treatment of lead poisoning

Oral: Administer on an empty stomach ( 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals ) & atleast 1 hour apart from other drugs, milk, antacids and zinc or iron containing products. Patients unable to swallow capsules may mix content of capsules with fruit juice or chilled pureed fruit.
