Key Ingredients:

Minocycline - Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding with 3OS and possibly the 50S ribosomal subunits(s) of susceptible bacteria; cell wall synthesis is not affected.

Formulation Strength:

Minocycline Suspension 10mg/ml

PEDIATRIC ORAL

• Treatment of susceptible gram-negative and gram-positive infections involving the respiratory tract, urinary tract, and skin/soft tissue
• Treatment of anthrax (inhalational, cutaneous, and gastrointestinal)
• Brucellosis, asymptomatic meningococcal carrier state
• Rickettsial diseases (including Rocky Mountain spotted fever, typhous fever, Q fever ), non gonococcal urethritis caused by Ureaplasma urealyticum or C. Trachomatis, and gonorrhea, chlamydial infections

Administer with or without food.
Oral : administer with adequate fluid to decrease risk of esophageal irritation and ulceration.
Administer antacids, calcium supplements, iron supplement magnesium-containing laxatives, and cholestyramine 2 hours before or after minocycline.
