Antifungal Agent

Key Ingredients:

Itraconazole - Interferes with cytochrome P450 activity , decreasing ergosterol synthesis (principal sterol in fungal cell membrane)and inhibiting cell membrane formation.

Indications

Pediatric Oral:

  • Neonatal tinea capitis (microsporum canis)
  • Susceptible Infections
  • Blastomycosis
  • Mild to moderate pulmonary & extrapulmonary disease
  • Severe Or CNS infection
  • Candidiasis (HIV-exposed/-positive patients), Oropharygeal treatment, esophageal, Vulvovaginal uncomplicated, secondary prophylaxis
  • Candidiasis, invasive
  • Coccidioidomycosis, (HIV-exposed/- positive)
  • Crytococus (HIV-exposed/positive)
  • Histoplasmosis
  • Microsporidiosis; disseminated disease (HIV-exposed/-positive)
  • Sporotrichosis
  • Penicilliosis (HIV-exposed/-positive)

Directions

Oral capsule administer with food or after meals.
Oral solution take without food , if possible.
Solution should be taken on an empty stomach. Treating oropharyngeal & esophageal candidiasis, solution should be swished vigorously in mouth, then swallowed
