Key Ingredients:

Dipyridamole - Inhibits activity of adenosine deaminase & phosphodiesterase, which causes an accumulation of adenosine, adenine nucleotides, & cyclic AMP; these mediators inhibits platelet aggregation and may cause vasodilation; may also stimulate release of prostacyclin or PGD2; causes coronary vasodilation

Formulation Strength:

Dipyridamole Suspension 10mg/ml

Pediatric Oral:

• Antiplatelet
• Antiplatelet, mechanical prosthetic heart valves
• Used with warfarin to decrease thrombosis after artificial heart valve replacement
• Proteinuria (IgA nephropathy, Henoch-Schonlein purpura), adjunct therapy

Should be taken with water on an empty stomach 1 hour before or 2 hour after meals ; may take with milk or food to decrease GI upset.
