Key Ingredients:

Busulfan-reacts with N-7 position of guanosine and interferes with DNA replication and transcription of RNA. Busulfan has more marked effects on myeloid cells than on lymphoid cells and is also very toxic to hematopoetic stem cells . It has little immunosupppressive activity . It interferes with the normal function of DNA by alkylation and cross-linking the strands of DNA.

Formulation Strength:

Busulfan Suspension 2 mg/ml

Pediatric Oral:

• Conditioning treatment before haematopoietic progenitor cell transplantation(HSCT)(not routinely used).
• Pallative treatment of chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML)
• Thalassemia major
• Acute myeloid leukemia

Oral : May be administer without regard to meals.
